Myla and John Snyder founded J.E. Snyder Electric in 2001 with eighteen years of prior electrical experience. They'd both worked for companies that weren't driven by customer satisfaction and saw an opportunity to do it differently — a full-service commercial electrical company built around the philosophy that customers come first and that the same veteran staff who quote the work run the work.

Twenty-five years later, that's still how the company operates: technical expertise, craftsmanship, and the kind of dedication to customers that turns one project into a decade of repeat work.

Three things, mostly.

First: we're union. Every electrician on our crew is signatory to the Inside Wireman's agreement with IBEW Local #11 (Los Angeles County) and #441 (Orange County). That's not a sticker on a truck — it's a trained, certified workforce that knows code, knows the trade, and shows up prepared.

Second: we specialize in critical applications. Data centers, DoD, aerospace, healthcare, telecommunications, and the entertainment industry — the kind of work where uptime matters and inspection has to pass the first time. We don't chase residential service calls; we run the projects that demand the discipline. And when fire life safety is in scope, we can take it end to end — providing the plans and engineering for the system itself, then delivering it turnkey, from design through installation, testing, and final sign-off.

Third: we're a customer-first shop by design. The same veteran staff who quote the work run the work. The president answers the phone. We've held long-running clients (Boeing, Raytheon, Xerox, Northrop Grumman, Time Warner, Loyola High School) because we operate the way we said we would.
